The Mediarapid Content Management System
Changing the look
Using Mediarapid makes it easy to change the look of your web site, either permanently or just for a special occasion. We call these 'themes'. They alter the look of the site without changing any of the original styling. Themes can be created by any competent web developer. We'd be happy to create some for you.
Simplified Workflow
We've designed the administration side of Mediarapid to make your life easier. Editors can publish material and delegate tasks to members of the team or to third party suppliers. For example, if your PR company publishes a weekly press release that you then have to put online, you could give your PR company the rights to create the release online. You receive an email notifying you that there is a new release to review. Click the link, read the release, edit if required and then publish.
Brand lockdown
With some content management systems it is too easy to move your web site off-brand. Font styles can be accidentally or deliberately changed away from the original brand look. Wrongly sized images can be uploaded and break the beautifully laid out pages. Mediarapid's templated system prevents this from occuring. All the design elements are locked down once they have been approved.
Easy Access
The admin area of Mediarapid is very secure but with the assigned login and password details it can be accessed anywhere in the world: office, home or the beach. The system is designed so that the admin area can be accessed on web-enabled mobiles phones or similar PDA devices — for that last minute addition you need to add to the site!
DDA compliant
The way corporate and company web sites are assembled is now very important. Web sites have to be accessible by all, regardless of physical ability. The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 was drafted to assist people with physical or mental impairment. Section III came into force in 1999 and several large companies have been threatened with legal action. We created Mediarapid so that it generates a site that is DDA-compliant. It creates valid code to W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) level 3, the highest level possible. Of course we may have to modify parts of your current site to make it DDA-compliant.
